London Calling!

In 1777, Samuel Johnson, compiler of one of the first English dictionaries wrote: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”

Over 200 years later, this statement still rings true. London invites you on an extraordinary journey through history and through the lives of the mosaic of people from every corner of the globe who have left their mark on the city. Whether you’re here for the architecture, history, food, entertainment or business, London has something to offer everyone.

The Radisson Blu Portman London and the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre London Heathrow stand ready to welcome you in the ‘modern Babylon’. Whether you want to do business, stimulate your mind, or simply recharge your batteries, Rezidor’s London properties have something to offer.

What does Responsible Business mean in practice in these two hotels?

Many Responsible Business initiatives take place in London. Among them are sporting events such as a regional football competition, table tennis tournament and weekly fitness classes. Charity events are also organised on a regular basis in order to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. Our hotels prepare heart-shaped cakes and cookies, sell toy bears and collect loose change.

During Responsible Business Action Month a £1 donation is added to guest bills to raise money for the ‘Quids for Kids’ charity.

On June 5th, both hotels in London together with Serve the City will distribute amenities in three different locations.

The first association is Centrepoint –  the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people, supporting 16-25 years olds with housing, learning, health and life skills. Then, Soap & the City will support the Marylebone Project, the largest provider of accommodation and services to women experiencing homelessness in the UK. 350 amenities will be offered to the women currently living at the Marylebone Project and the women that use the drop-in facilities and services on a daily basis. Finally, 350 soap and the city kits will be given to the women living at Hope Town Hostel and individuals supported by Look Ahead partner organizations.

Did you try your luck in our city treasure hunt? It is not too late !
