Dear traveller,

Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in Britain and its urban landscape has been immortalised in both literature and cinema. Come and discover amazing history, beautiful architecture, the medieval maze of the Old Town and the lush gardens in the elegant Georgian New Town! The city offers a myriad of bars, restaurants and some of the most elegant shops in the country. The Radisson Blu hotel is ready to welcome you in the heart of historic Edinburgh…

The Radisson Blu Edinburgh has shown a strong commitment to Rezidor’s Responsible Business programme over the years. In addition to our Soap & the City project, the Radisson Blu Edinburgh is actively engaged with the Canongate Youth association which provides support, recreation and training opportunities for 5 to 25 year olds. The goal is to help these young people overcome barriers and secure a great future. The hotel also organises employer visits and work placements for Canongate Youth’s ‘CY3 Step Up Programme’. Targeted at people aged between 16 and 24, the Programme provides them with an opportunity to gain experience in the workplace.

Contact the Elderly

The staff at the Radisson Blu Edinburgh host a bi-annual afternoon tea for people over 75 who have little or no social support. Known as ‘Contact the Elderly’ the afternoon is always filled with lots of stories and laughs, making it an enjoyable time for both staff and guests.

During Responsible Business Action Month 2013, the staff at the Radisson Blu Hotel Edinburgh raised £1,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support by walking up Ben Nevis – the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,344 metres above sea level, Ben Nevis is located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William.

The walk took place in what can only be described as typical Scottish weather!
